Objective:
To provide nutritious and hygienic meals free of cost to the caregivers of admitted patients at Sadar Hospital, Deoghar. The initiative aims to ensure that these attendants—often from poor and rural backgrounds—receive necessary financial and emotional relief so they can better care for their hospitalized loved ones without worrying about food.
Background & Need:
Caregivers who accompany patients at government hospitals often go through financial hardship and physical stress. Most of them stay in the hospital premises for days without access to proper meals. Recognizing this critical gap, Shreel Foundation launched the Bhojan Seva Kendra, which provides daily meals with dignity, empathy, and consistency.
Impact:
Daily distribution of approx. 300 fresh, balanced meals.
Over 1,00,000 meals served in a year, significantly reducing the burden on poor families.
Improved health and morale of caregivers, enabling them to support their patients better.
Promotion of humanitarian values and community support within the hospital ecosystem.
