Objective

To provide free and holistic health services to lakhs of Kanwariyas during the holy month of Shravan, ensuring their well-being and spiritual journey is safe, comfortable, and dignified.


 

Program Highlights

  • Free Medical Check-ups & Medicines: Daily healthcare services by certified MBBS doctors, GNM & ANM staff.

  • Ambulance Facility: 24×7 emergency support.

  • Hygiene & Sanitation: Clean washrooms and bathing areas.

  • Relaxation & Recovery: Foot massage, hot water tub, and free ointments for tired Kanwariyas.

  • Food & Refreshments: Distribution of tea, sharbat, fruits, hot water, and hygienic meals.

  • Comfortable Resting Areas: Beds and shaded shelters for resting.

  • Bhajan Programs: Cultural and devotional performances to uplift the spiritual mood.

  • Women Volunteers: Devoted service by female volunteers for women Kanwariyas.

  • Closing Ceremony: Gratitude and recognition for all supporting staff with gift distribution.


 

About the Shravan Mela & Pilgrimage

The Shravan Mela is a globally celebrated spiritual yatra, where lakhs of Kanwariyas walk 108 km from Sultanganj (Bihar) to Baba Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar (Jharkhand) to offer holy Ganga Jal. This yatra reflects deep faith, devotion, and endurance, and Shreel Foundation took this opportunity to support these pilgrims through compassionate service.


 

Inauguration & Dignitaries

The camp was inaugurated by Mr. A.K. Anand, GM, S.P. Mines Area, Chitra, Deoghar, with traditional Santhali welcome. Fruits and refreshments were distributed by him and other senior officers.


 

Impact

  • Around 5,000 Kanwariyas served every day.

  • Over 1 lakh Kanwariyas benefited from medical aid, refreshments, and rest facilities during the 20-day camp.

  • Built a strong example of public-private partnership (Shreel Foundation & ECL) in religious service delivery.

  • Created a deeply emotional and spiritual connection between volunteers and the pilgrims.

  • Promoted volunteerism, community engagement, and holistic seva.
