Objective:

To celebrate the spirit of Makar Sankranti by organizing a Patang (kite) competition among children and youth, aimed at boosting their morale, encouraging participation, and promoting cultural engagement. The event also intended to bring joy to underprivileged children by distributing free kites and strings.

Program Highlights:

• A friendly kite flying competition was held, where children and youth showcased their skills and enthusiasm.

• Prizes were awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, along with special consolation prizes to encourage broader participation.

• Free kites and threads (manjha) were distributed to over 100 children and youth, ensuring everyone could take part in the festivities.

Community Engagement:

The event was filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. Children from nearby areas participated with great excitement. The informal dialogue with youth and children helped in building trust and making them feel valued.
