Objective:
To take part in the awareness program on the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF)—a scheme launched by the Government of Jharkhand aimed at making farmers self-reliant. The scheme provides low-interest loans to farmers, FPOs, and agri-entrepreneurs to develop infrastructure in the agriculture sector.

Program Highlights:

• Detailed information was shared about the benefits, eligibility, and application process under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund.

• The session encouraged participation from NGOs, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and individual farmers.

• Key dignitaries including the Agriculture Minister emphasized the importance of infrastructure in increasing agricultural productivity and farmers’ income.

Outcome:
Shreel Foundation’s team gained valuable knowledge about the AIF scheme, which will help the foundation in guiding local farmers and SHGs about accessing financial support for building storage units, processing centers, and other agri-related infrastructure.
