Date: 10 October 2025
Organized by: Shreel Foundation

The “Ghar Ka Bagicha – Every Home, a Green Courtyard” initiative by Shreel Foundation is bringing new life and greenery to rural households. On 10 October 2025, the Foundation’s team revisited Mukundi Santhali Basti in Godda district, where families had earlier been encouraged to start their own kitchen gardens.

During the visit, the Secretary, Joint Secretary, and team members of Shreel Foundation interacted with the villagers and observed the progress of their gardens. The team discussed the nutritional value of homegrown vegetables, the importance of water conservation, and how small home gardens can promote self-reliance and sustainable living.

It was heartwarming to see that several Santhali families had successfully developed lush green kitchen gardens in their courtyards. The team appreciated their efforts and motivated others to adopt the practice.

The “Ghar Ka Bagicha” campaign has now become a symbol of nutrition, self-sufficiency, and environmental protection — empowering rural families to cultivate health and harmony right at home.

“A green home is a healthy home — let’s grow together for a sustainable future.”
