Objective:

The primary aim of the Employment Awareness Camp was to engage directly with unemployed youth in rural areas, understand the root causes of their unemployment, and explore viable, long-term solutions through information sharing and dialogue.

Methodology:

Shreel Foundation conducted focused group discussions and one-on-one interactions with women & youth in the identified locations. During these sessions, information was shared about various vocational training programs, government schemes, self-employment opportunities, and job-oriented skill development courses.

The sessions were interactive, allowing participants to express their challenges while receiving guidance on choosing suitable career paths. Awareness about sectors like agriculture-based enterprises, tailoring, cocoon, bamboo and more was provided.

Impact:

The camp helped in building confidence among the youth and provided direction toward employability and self-reliance. By connecting them with resources and opportunities, the program aimed to reduce rural unemployment and promote skill-based livelihoods.
