Objective:
The primary objective of this relief effort was to provide ready-to-eat nutritious Khichdi along with safe drinking water to the poor, daily wage workers, and caregivers of hospital patients during the critical phase of the COVID-19 lockdown.
With markets shut and movement restricted, thousands of people found it difficult to access food. Shreel Foundation stepped in to support the underprivileged by distributing hot, hygienic meals and drinking water on a daily basis at Sadar Hospital, Deoghar.
Program Highlights:
Hot khichdi meals served fresh every day
RO-purified drinking water provided along with meals
Focus on hospital attendants, poor families, and stranded individuals
Safety, hygiene, and social distancing protocols strictly followed during distribution
Impact:
Over the course of 46 days, more than 9,500 people were served, ensuring food security during one of the most difficult times for vulnerable communities.
