    Objective:
    To raise awareness among rural communities about the preventive and precautionary measures related to Covid-19, aiming to reduce transmission and promote community health and safety.

    Place:
    6 Villages of Deoghar District, Jharkhand

    Dates:

    • April to December 2021

     


    Program Highlights:

    • Awareness on Covid-19 symptoms, transmission, and prevention

    • Importance of mask-wearing, hand hygiene, and physical distancing

    • Distribution of informational pamphlets in local language

    • Clarification on vaccination myths and encouragement for immunization

    • Interaction with local families, youth, and elderly to ensure behavioral change

    • Demonstrations of proper mask use and handwashing techniques


    Impact:

    The program successfully engaged over 120 villagers and helped spread crucial information to remote communities. It played a significant role in reducing fear, misinformation, and vaccine hesitancy while encouraging safe health practices during and after the pandemic.
